Khaleel Makari

My name is Khaleel Jackson Makari Kizito, I was born in Kenya, Mombasa. My first experience as an artist was when I was in primary school where we used to have arts and crafts which was my favorite subject is where my passion for art started. I was influenced by my environment, which seemed to never run out of things to draw, and my teachers and family members who encouraged me on my journey. It was here that I realized that I wanted to pursue my career in this field. I went on to study arts in high school and continued to university at Kenyatta University. It was here that I further expanded my knowledge in the different fields of art.
