WALK THROUGH THE PAST is a celebration of the influence of nature on man as a source of inspiration. The theme is inspired by Ancient Egypt and their use of nature in their work, for example the use of the lotus plant in art and architecture. This is design imagines walking in the midst of greenery and experiencing tranquility through the balance of the alternating shapes and use of tangerine, turquoise and mint green colour combination. Ancient civilisations in Africa showed creative use of nature as a basis to create and is still a practice that is common place today, especially with the advancement in technology, we get to see the role nature plays. Different groups of people add to the bank of ideas of how nature continues to give us what we need to create to express our culture in modern Africa.
