The “Our Culture” pattern reinterprets traditional Kenyan aesthetics into a modern textile design. It brings together motifs from the Kikuyu youth, Maasai, Turkana, and Kenya’s coastal communities, highlighting their diversity and shared heritage.
Inspired by the Khanga layout, the design features repeated shields drawn from Maasai and Kikuyu traditions, symbolising strength and ceremony. At the centre, abstract bead motifs nod to Turkana beadwork, while the paisley borders—a hallmark of Khanga design—are reimagined with beaded details for a fresh, contemporary feel.

The leso is available via digital or rotary printing on two lightweight fabrics: Taikenya and Tausi. Artwork must be prepared as a three-colour job for either method.
You will receive 2,500 lesos printed by rotary method, each measuring 165 × 116 cm, with a minimum order of 4,125 metres.
Alternatively, digital printing is available in the same size, with a minimum order of 3.3 metres (equal to 2 lesos, one gora).
To order: add 3 for one gora, 6 for two gora, 9 for three gora, and so on. (Applies to digitally printed Taikenya or Tausi fabric.)
