Description
A hive is an enclosed structure that houses a bee colony. It is a protected home for thousands of bees where they store food and reproduce. The hive is a series of combs made of two layers of six-sided cells. The cells are made of wax produced and secreted by the worker bees. Food in the form of honey, plant nectar, bee bread, made from pollen, is stored in the cells.
The Hive design has a bold, stylized, and graphic appearance, inspired by African wax print fabrics or similar maximalist textile designs. Stylized bees are featured prominently, positioned diagonally within the pattern. Hexagonal honeycomb patterns fill various sections, including oval frames and internal shapes.
