It’s been a good three years. Not easy—but honest, necessary, and worth it.

As we step into this new year, I found myself rereading my old notebook from 2022—back when I was sketching early ideas for the logo and experimenting with what branding for UndaMeta could look like (see below). Those early sketches capture the spark of a small, audacious idea: What if  Afrikan surface pattern design had its own home?

What if our cultural codes—our symbols and semiotics—could reach the world?

What if there was a platform where designers and brands could access authentic, consistent prints at the click of a button?

Looking back across 2023 to 2025, it’s been a journey shaped by agency, protest movements, inflation, and an uncertain business landscape—alongside the very real questions AI disruption brings to creative work. And yet, through all of it, one thing became clear: we have a lot to be grateful for.

That idea came to fruition. Not easily—but iteratively and meaningfully.

Towards the end of 2024, there were moments we almost gave up. But incredible partners stepped in—right from inception, through shaping the platform, to developing a marketing strategy when the road felt uncertain. Then came those first sales in late 2023—sparked by a relative here, a friend there—people who simply saw the vision. For that, we are deeply grateful.

2025 was the year we truly leaned into conversion and demand—testing, learning, showing up, and pushing forward. And as we enter this new year, we do so with optimism and resolve, hopeful for even stronger results.

Thank you—for your belief, your support, and for backing our work with a shilling or two. We don’t take it lightly. And to the diverse, independent creators on our platform: thank you for trusting UndaMeta with your talent and your stories. Your eagerness to share your creative work with the world is what gives this platform meaning.

As we look to 2026, we hope to see more creators benefit from the platform, more creative works emerge, and more collaborations take shape.

We are Metaordinary  and this journey is collective—rooted in one-of-a-kind prints, creative confidence, and meaningful differentiation. So let’s be it, together.

Happy New Year.
We’re back in business.
Let’s go.
